'Vanderpump Rules' Star Scheana Shay Thinks She's the Main Character, But She's Not

 The big picture

  • Scheana Shay has a habit of inserting herself into the drama and talking about herself, even when it doesn't involve her.
  • She often uses the victim card and makes everything about her, which can become boring and repetitive for viewers.
  • Scheana took advantage of Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix's cheating scandal to make herself relevant, even having a minor altercation with Raquel Leviss for attention.

The public has heard the name Vanderpump Rules for months and months, all last year, thanks to news of Tom Sandoval cheating on his longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix, with their best friend, Rachel Leviss. The season revolved around the cheating scandal. Through the mix of friends on the show, the one who has been there since the beginning is Scheana Shay. She is the link between Vanderpump Rules and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she was involved with a former RHOBA actor's husband. During the first few seasons of VPR, audiences could tell that the series would revolve around Shay and her life after the scandal while following her day job at "SUR," with the other cast members playing in the background. It was interesting for viewers to know what Los Angeles is like for promising young people trying to make it in Hollywood. Scheana might have thought she had the right idea to date an actor, but there were plenty of repercussions after the affair.

The scandal heavily influenced the group's dynamic, and watching Scheana was cringe-inducing. Additionally, her friendship with Stassi Schroeder and her choice to always be a man's daughter became controversial. Over time, audiences got to see that Scheana didn't always have the best intentions and did a lot of things to gain clout.

Over its 10 seasons, each season has been different depending on what the group of friends were going through at the time. Still, something that has never changed is Scheana inserting herself into drama that may have nothing to do with her, or making the drama about herself. This was widely demonstrated during the “Scandoval” era. The longtime Bravo star lives in delusion believing she is the heart of the show.

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz's Relationship Timeline

Show everything. Since Vanderpump Rules debuted on Bravo in 2013, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz have been candid about their road to marriage.

The couple met two years before their romance was documented on screen.

At the time, Schwartz showed up to a group event with another date instead of Maloney. "He had […]

“He didn't really support me or defend me or make me feel supported or heard. I just wanted that validation from him. So I made myself smaller in a way. I lost myself. I was a shell of a woman,” she added at the time. “I had to work on myself in general – not really because of all that – but I didn't feel good in my body and in general. I wanted to build my self-confidence and I just started working on myself.

The decision to end her marriage never caused Katie any regrets.

Schwartz, meanwhile, opened up about the mistakes he thought he made during his relationship with Katie on Watch What Happens Live in February 2023, telling Andy Cohen, “I lost my way a few times. There were times when I thought the relationship was going to end and I was a sloppy asshole. I don't think I'll ever get married again. I will fall in love, but I just don't think I'll ever get married again.

Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval Stand With 'Pump Rules' Costars Amid Drama

Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval have faced major backlash for their cheating scandal — and their Vanderpump Rules costars have been at the forefront and throwing shade. The couple made headlines in March 2023 when Deadline confirmed that Sandoval and Ariana Madix had called it quits after nearly a decade together due to his infidelity. The beauty […]

“I wish Scheana would wake the f--k up. Look at the situation as it really is,” she told the cameras. “Sandoval never really cared about your friendship. Cut ties, move on, and be a good friend to Ariana.

Katie became emotional while speaking to the group about her own issues with Sandoval.

“With all due respect, I just wish you would get over it. This man has never sincerely apologized to me since the day I met him,” she said. “He was horrible to me. He interfered in my marriage. He made everyone believe I was a monster. My own ex-husband [Tom Schwartz] I think.”

Katie concluded: “The fact that anyone would struggle to get over this human garbage bag is unfathomable. Because this person – he’s a demon.

While still married to Schwartz, 41, Katie opened up about how she thought Sandoval was getting too involved in her marriage. Sandoval's apparent disdain for Katie meant that he was always on Schwartz's side, which drove a wedge between Schwartz and Katie.

Vanderpump Rules fans have watched the ups and downs between Katie and Schwartz for over a decade. After six years of marriage, Schwartz and Katie confirmed their separation in March 2022.

“I obviously kept this relationship because I was in love with him. I was imagining, planning, wanting the future [and] everything with it. I think I was also very broken,” Katie said during the September 2023 episode of the “Almost Adulting” podcast. “My confidence, my self-esteem and everything was very broken. »

Katie also remembers never feeling "priority" to Schwartz's professional projects with Sandoval.

Katie Maloney cries because Tom Sandoval ruined her marriage

Katie Maloney neither forgives nor forgets when it comes to Tom Sandova's past wrongs — including how he contributed to the fall of her marriage.

During a new episode of Vanderpump Rules that aired on Tuesday, March 12, Katie, 37, discussed Sandoval's attempt at redemption with Lala Kent, Scheana Shay and Kristina Kelly. Scheana, 38, sparked a negative response from Katie when she opened up about the progress she's made with Sandoval, 41.

“For the first time since all this happened, I know without a shadow of a doubt that those were real tears,” she told the group, referring to her session of meditation with Sandoval in a previous episode. In response, Kristina asked if Scheana thought Sandoval was "sadder" about losing their friendship than "actually being out of a relationship" with his ex-girlfriend. Ariana Madix

“Honestly, yes,” Scheana said before repeating Sandoval’s claims about what led to his affair with Rachel “Raquel” LĂ©viss. “Because he was so unhappy with her for so long.”

Scheana noted that she previously didn't have the space to process the loss of Sandoval as a friend — until now.

“Five months later, I’m finally going through the grieving process,” she explained. “Ariana has already mourned this loss. She's making millions of dollars and living her best life. I am not here."

The Vanderpump Rules costar initially found themselves divided in March 2023 when news broke of Sandoval and Ariana's split due to his infidelity. Most of the friend group sided with Ariana, 38, but viewers have since seen Scheana, Lala, 33, and James Kennedy begin to resolve their issues with Sandoval throughout the season 11.

Katie, however, refused to back down from her dislike of Sandoval, adding, "Is this the type of individual you want in your life?" Because you miss the person who doesn't exist.

Is Lala Kent from Vanderpump Rules having another baby?

On March 3, Lala shared a photo on Instagram of her baby bump and her daughter Ocean standing next to her.

I’m expanding my module,” she wrote in the caption. Fans quickly took to the comments section of the post to congratulate her on her pregnancy, including several stars of the VPR franchise.

Vanderpump Rules Star Lala Kent Reveals She's Pregnant With Her Second Child

After publicly declaring that she wanted to have baby No. 2 without anyone else's help, Vanderpump Rules' Lala did just that.

Lala Kent hasn't had the smoothest dating history, to say the least. After her tumultuous relationship with Randall Emmett, with whom she had her first child, she remained single.

The reality TV star has since made it clear that she wants to have another child but without the help of a man.

“I was open to the IUI route, given how much I loved being pregnant, and I wanted to experience that again. At the time, I was like, “Well, if we hit a wall, we can go the IVF route.” “And then if it didn’t work, I would embark on adoption,” she declared in January 2024.

Well, it looks like IUI or IVF has done its job.

Vanderpump Rules back with two key players missing (II)

 (continuation from the previous post)

Vanderpump Rules returned last week for its first outing since the Scandoval affair brought its cast out of the confines of Bravo and onto the pages of The New York Times.

While the episode ends with the image of Sandoval's car stopping in front of the house he still shares with Ariana, he and Raquel are missing, leaving a wound gaping that the rest of the cast has no choice but to talk about.

Even though these characters don't want to be defined by Tom and Raquel's actions, the pain is clearly too fresh for them to move past it, at least this quickly. Ariana is obviously the most hurt, continuing to ice Schwartz after a Watch What Happens Live segment where he encouraged people to give Sandoval a hug if they saw him because he could use one (come on, man) . Towards the end of the episode, Lala, having apparently taken an off-screen maturity potion or something, decides that she doesn't want Scandoval's mistake to define the rest of Raquel's life and tries to tend hand to clarify things. Ariana doesn't like hearing this when she finds out, but it mostly sparks a conversation about how sensitive they both actually are. (Katie Maloney is also there and is in a lot of this episode, but doesn't do much. Sorry Katie!)

Given the frustration built up in the few months between the affair being announced and Pump Rules starting filming its 11th season, all on the slopes. It would be weird for them not to talk about that. But Sandoval now has his apology tour planned, although it will more likely be a righteous outrage tour based on his reunion performance and everything about his personality. As a fellow human being, but as a consumer of reality TV, thank goodness for that.

Vanderpump Rules back with two key players missing (I)

Vanderpump Rules returned in the end of January 2024 for its first outing since the Scandoval affair brought its cast out of the confines of Bravo and onto the pages of The New York Times

It was a pretty normal return to form, even if the big, bad thing loomed over the cast's heads: Tom Schwartz explained that he was still at odds with Ariana Madix after their intense conversation in the finale; Lala Kent grew closer to her family following her own scandalous divorce; Schenea Shay reveals she started taking Zoloft after national attention naturally triggered flare-ups of OCD and anxiety.

Bob Odenkirk learns he is related to King Charles III and reconsiders his stance on monarchies

Not to mention the restraining order Raquel Leviss filed against Scheana after their confrontation in New York, the one that kept them at least 30 feet apart while filming last season's reunion. Scheana rightly notes that filing a temporary restraining order against a former friend "changes everything" and seeks some acknowledgment that she was also a victim, if not as much as others in the cast, of Raquel and Tom. Sandoval's antics.

But Scheana, nor anyone else, was going to get that recognition in the Season 11 premiere, at least not from Sandoval and Raquel. There was a Scandoval-shaped hole in the episode, with Raquel in Arizona (her return for the season seems out of place) and Tom "in New Zealand, filming some sort of competition show" in D's words. 'Ariana. (Probably Special Forces, not The Masked Singer.) While the episode ends with the image of Sandoval's car stopping in front of the house he still shares with Ariana, he and Raquel are missing, leaving a wound gaping that the rest of the cast has no choice but to talk about.
