“Can you do this? You've hurt a lot of people and if you can take your ego out of that..." she continued, before Tom retorted that it wasn't about ego, but that he was "tired of being the scapegoat” for the group. Scheana said it wasn't about blame, but about "having some self-awareness and taking responsibility" - before telling him she was "just trying to help."
Even though he seemed unwilling to help — saying he wouldn't "grovel in front of those bastards again" — he eventually apologized to Katie as she visited Ariana at the house the exes still share together. . Madix avoided Tom by leaving the room before Sandoval came downstairs, giving him and Maloney time to talk.
She then told him to stop having house parties, after he threw a pool party with potential singles earlier in the episode. “You don't think there's anything wrong with having random strangers in a house where you're cohabiting, sharing a space and that makes you feel bold,” she told him, so that he asked her to show him “a little grace”.
“Katie, do you know what people do to me?” he asked, before noticing that he apparently couldn't do anything right. ”Like, really Tom, a blue shirt today, you know how bad that looks? ” he gave as a false example.
However, Katie made it clear that she would not grant Tom such mercy, and he said he would "just try to do better and stay away." His response: “You could give him a little more decency and respect.”
